1st convience bank is a total rip off, they will charge you Overdraft fees before your account is negative and cause the subsequent charges on your account to be charged Overdraft fees as well. These guys are crooks and you cannot get any supervisors to help, you must go to the bank branch to talk to someone and many times they are not helpful because they know you cannot contact their supervisor to complain.

If you excect ANY customer service, do not use 1st Convience Bank. They will lose a lot of money when the new Overdraft laws take effect in 2010; that will be great karma.

Monetary Loss: $1000.

Location: Schwenksville, Pennsylvania

I went to close and account and the teller lied to my face claiming to have closed it. She didn't what she did do is withdraw my last $1 out of the account leaving me clueless that a $12 monthly fee would overdraft my account.

I can't believe this how is it even legal for them to do that ! luckily I checked on it the next day or I could've been taken for hundreds of dollars in overdraft and negative balance fees and I never would've known because the teller lied and said my account was closed.

I had the same problem. I caught an overdraft of $7 within minutes after my husband made the purchase.

Immediately went to the bank to deposit the money, and they still charged us $100 in overdraft fees! First mistake we'd ever made like that. We shut the account down and went with Chase.

They've got ATM's that allow immediate cash deposits on your account at any time of day should you make another mistake like that.

They got us once, but never again.

Yes, it's fine to acknowledge your mistake, but to take punishment like that over and over when other banks are more lenient is just ***.
