The problem with this bank is they offer a lot of "second chance" banking. This can be good for people with credit problems, but for the rest of us---it is a joke.
I have used them for many years, and am simply to lazy to change banks as I have direct deposit, auto-drafts, etc.
The people they hire as "tellers" are incredibly ignorant, and seem like they are better suited to work at McDonald's than a bank. The first five years I banked there, they never charged me for checks, as I always went under the minimum. Once they tried to charge me. When I politely asked why, they got the "supervisor" who copped a serious attitude.
She looked at me and said, "Checks aren't free" and simply walked away. I smiled to myself. When I went home, I called the Regional Manager who is over 12 locations. I left him a voice mail explaining that I would be coming in the next morning to close out all three of my accounts I have (and I have quite a bit of money in there bank).
I simply wanted him to know why. To his credit, he called me back and literally begged me to keep my accounts with them. I kept telling him it was too late. Finally, he said, "What do I need to do to keep your business." I told him to get rid of that "supervisor" who copped an attitude with me.
He said he would see what he could do. The next day he phoned me back and told me she would no longer be a problem. The point?
Go up REAL high in the food-chain there, as the higher-ups really do care.
